Windom Park is a diverse and culturally-rich neighborhood in the city of Minneapolis. Its boundaries are 18th Avenue NE on the south, Lowry Avenue NE on the north, Central Avenue on the west and the New Brighton Boulevard on the east. Windom Park is named after
William Windom, a loyal and dedicated U.S. congressman.
The neighborhood is primarily a residential hub except for a few commercial units mainly situated on Central Avenue. It is quite close to downtown, the University of Minnesota, and of course, the famous
Windom Park, a vibrant outdoor space where locals and visitors love to spend endless hours doing lots of recreational activities.
Over the years, the neighborhood has undergone transformations. Now, middle-sized markets, coffee shops, ethnic restaurants, and shops line the streets, thanks to the increase of new immigrants reshaping the neighborhood.
